hi mate
no problem, the Asus P5KPL-AM iG31 is a excellent choice and would be a excellent basis for a first time gaming system, bare in mind it has no support for sli or crossfire but you did state this would not be a problem
with regards to the Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 this is fully compatible with the Asus P5KPL-AM and is a ideal choice for the system, with a 2.66ghz clock speed and a 3mb level 2 cache this has some excellent potential
the radeon HD4830 and HD4850 are not too bad however they retail around the £100 mark and for games like bioshock you would be far better off with a card such as the BFG 9600GT OC 512MB GDDR3( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142166 ),this is because "2k" games who developed bioshock designed the game using nvidia cards and this is reflected in the gameplay, also as the geforce 9600gt cards(and above) have support for NVIDIA® Cuda and PhysX allowing for far superior gaming and effects
for a even better gaming experience the Asus GeForce 9800 GTX+( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GeForce+9+Series/Asus+GeForce+9800+GTX%2B+512MB+PCI-E2.0+?productId=34261)is a amazing pci-express gaming card
with some excellent specs including a 738mhz core clock and 512mb of ddr3 memory running at 1836mhz,and along with the 256bit memory bus interface you can be sure of some awesome frame rates
good choices mate, any problems let me know
               good luck mate !
References :
Both of them will be fine.
You can use P43 or P45 chipset based motherboard.
References :
Well, personal preference. I wouldn't buy off Ebuyer, I'd go with Overclcockers.

Anyway, your budget is tight, that motherboard isn't that bad, not so great a chipset. Bus speeds are quite high and it supports a single x16 PCI-E. Now the problem with it is, you will be using it for gaming, the upgradeability isn't great.

Especially if you wanted to go with a 64bit OS. For 32bit and with about 3GB of Ram it'll do pretty good. But eventually you will have to change from a mini board to full form Atx, to get the most out of your games.

What I would do is, get this motherboard.

At £30 more I hope it's not breaking the bank, and the 7300 is a really good CPU too, I wouldn't change the CPU cause anything lower on the site I use doesn't use 45nm technology.

And the 4850 should handle Bioshock easily.

Do you have RAM for the machine or are you buying some?
800Mhz should do you fine, as the 1066Mhz tends to be pricey :)
